Membership Structure
The Alliance is composed of academics and students from California’s Schools and Programs of Public Health (SPPH), governmental agencies, and community-based organizations working together to support, monitor, guide, and resource the coalition’s goals and collective impact.
General Membership
Our members are committed to supporting our collective priorities through knowledge-sharing, participating in Alliance events, and providing support and feedback as needed. All deans, chairs, directors, faculty, and students from schools and programs of public health at California public and private universities and members of community-based organizations with an active interest in health equity are eligible for general membership.
Steering Committee
Our Steering Committee provides executive-level leadership and oversight of the Alliance to support our collective mission, goals, and objectives. The committee is composed of Co-Chairs and Vice Co-Chairs of the Executive Committee, The Alliance’s Executive Director, Special Advisors, and Co-Chairs from each of our Action Groups.
Action Groups
There are three Alliance Action Groups: Environment & Health, Violence Prevention, and Workforce. These Action Groups, guided by the Steering Committee, are charged with conducting the regular work of the Alliance in order to meet their respective annual goals and benchmarks.
